Four professional terminology knowledge of fingerprint lock!

1. Misrecognition rate of fingerprint lock
“False recognition rate” (FAR, FalseAcceptRate), also known as false recognition rate, is a key technical indicator of fingerprint recognition system, which represents the probability that fingerprints that should not be matched are accepted by the system. To put it simply, the probability of opening the fingerprint lock with a finger that has not been enrolled. For example, a person ’s fingerprint is not entered in the fingerprint lock, but when he uses his finger to open the door, the fingerprint lock thinks that his fingerprint information matches a certain fingerprint already entered, such as automatic unlock. The false recognition rate is related to the security of the fingerprint lock. The lower the false recognition rate, the safer the fingerprint lock is, and the less secure it is. As far as the fingerprint lock industry is concerned, the common misrecognition rate is around one part per million, and the safety factor is relatively high.

Second, fingerprint lock resolution
Resolution (dpi) is the interpretation of the fingerprint reading head of the fingerprint lock. It is the same as the pixel principle of the camera. The higher the pixel, the clearer the picture; and the higher the resolution of the fingerprint reading head, the faster the response speed, recognition The more accurate, the more stable the performance. According to the fingerprint lock industry standard, the resolution of the fingerprint reading head is 500dpi. For fingerprint reading heads below this resolution, the response speed, recognition accuracy and stability cannot be guaranteed. Under normal circumstances, the fingerprint lock with a resolution of 500dpi, the door opening time is generally about 1 second. Below this value, the door opening speed takes 1 second or even a few seconds.

3. Fingerprint lock living body recognition technology
That is, according to the unique and stable characteristics of biological living fingerprints, the use of real living fingerprint recognition technology can identify the skin dermal fingerprints, and can identify the skin’s fine temperature and humidity, ensuring that it is an advanced technology that can only be recognized by living bodies. The most important advantage is that it avoids the security technical problems of copying fingerprints and confusing dry fingerprints. For example, the self-made fingerprint film used by white-collar workers for punching cards can only be blind here in fingerprint locks with biometric fingerprint recognition technology. Only real fingerprints can be turned on.

Fourth, fingerprint lock rejection rate
“FRR (False Reject Rate)”, also known as “Rejection Rate”, is another key technical indicator of the fingerprint recognition system, indicating the probability of fingerprints from the same source being rejected from matching. In other words, it is obvious that the fingerprint has been entered, but when the fingerprint is used, the system considers it as a fingerprint that has not been stored, and thus the probability of not opening the door. For example, some people usually use their fingerprints to open the door, but occasionally they may not open the door after pressing the fingerprint lock once or twice. The lower the rejection rate, the more stable the fingerprint lock, and the more unstable it is. As far as the current fingerprint lock industry is concerned, the general rejection rate is about 1%, and the stability factor can also be improved. The effective way to solve the problem that the fingerprint refuses to open the door is to press the fingerprint several times.
